Our Commitment

Smart Career CV does not store, collect, or retain any personal information, CV data, payment details, or paraphrased text on our servers. Your CV is built, previewed, and exported to PDF entirely inside your own browser.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

• CV content or text
• Your name, email, ID number, or phone number
• Payment details (credit card, banking info)
• Paraphrased text from our tool
• Your IP address tied to any identifying activity

2. What We Do Store (non-personal, anonymous)

• Whether ads are enabled (site setting)
• A running total of downloads (a single counter, not tied to any user)
• Voucher codes and whether each one has been used (no name/email attached)
• Referral link tokens and whether they've been opened (no name/email attached)
• Anonymous star ratings and optional comments you choose to leave

3. Payment Processing

Online payments are handled by PayFast. We never see or store your card or banking information.

4. WhatsApp Proof of Payment

If you send proof of payment via WhatsApp, that conversation happens on WhatsApp's platform under WhatsApp's own privacy terms; we do not import or store those messages on our servers.

5. Cookies

We use only essential, strictly-necessary session cookies to keep your CV builder session working. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies to build user profiles.

6. Your Rights (POPIA - South Africa)

Because we do not retain personal data, there is generally nothing on our servers to access or delete. If you believe we hold any personal information about you, contact us and we will investigate and remove it promptly.
